    Abstract

Objective: To find out the factors related to anxiety scores in medical personnel at USU Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic. Method: This study is a predictive multivariate study with a cross-sectional approach. The target population of the study were all hospital medical personnel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sampling technique used was the consecutive sampling technique with a total sample of 110 people. The normality test using the Kolgomorov-Smirnov test will be carried out by the Pearson test, and if the two variables are not normally distributed, the Mann-Whitney U test will be performed. Results: There is a relationship between age and anxiety scores for medical personnel at USU Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic with r = 0.688 with a strong positive correlation strength and p = 0.001. There is a relationship between gender and anxiety scores r = 0.688 with a strong positive correlation strength and p = 0.029. There is no relationship between marital status and anxiety scores. There is a relationship between educational status and anxiety scores with r = 0.684 with a strong correlation strength and p = 0.009. There is no relationship between the type of medical work and anxiety scores. There is no relationship between a history of exposure to COVID-19 and anxiety scores. There is a relationship between family history and clinical symptoms of COVID-19 and anxiety score with r=0.676 with a strong positive correlation strength and p<0.001. Conclusion: Factors associated with anxiety scores were age, gender, educational status and family history. By knowing the factors related to anxiety scores for medical personnel at USU Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic, it is hoped that medical and paramedical personnel will always think positively about things that can cause risk, it is hoped that they will always seek and understand information about Covid-19 both from electronic media and print media to add insight.
