dc.description.abstractResearch on Microgreen Growth of Wheat Grass (Triticum aestivum L.) With the Addition of a Combination of Coconut Water and Variations in Planting Media out from March 2021 to May 2021 at the Tissue Culture Laboratory, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of North Sumatra. The research aims to obtain the best combination of adding coconut water and variations of growing media on the growth of microgreen wheat grass (Triticum aestivum L.). This study used a factorial two-factor Randomized Block Design (RBD) with four levels of media (cocopeat, husk charcoal, vermiculite, perlite) and four levels of coconut water (0, 50, 100, 150 ml). The treatment of 50 ml coconut water combined with perlite media showed the highest plant height of 24.02 cm. Treatment without coconut water with a variety of husk charcoal media gave a significant effect on root length and dry weight with the highest values of 12.70 cm and 1.35 gram. In the analysis of fiber content in the treatment without coconut water and the combination of vermiculite media, the immense yield was 16.81 gram. The addition of 150 ml of coconut water with the combination of perlite media showed the highest total chlorophyll content of 3.65 mg/g.en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian tentang Pertumbuhan Microgreen Rumput Gandum (Triticum aestivum L.) Pada Perlakuan Variasi Air Kelapa dan Media Tanam telah dilaksanakan dari Maret 2021 sampai dengan Mei 2021 di Laboratorium Kultur Jaringan Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memperoleh kombinasi terbaik penambahan air kelapa dan variasi media tanam terhadap pertumbuhan microgreen rumput gandum (Triticum aestivum L.). Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) faktorial dua faktor dengan empat taraf Media (cocopeat, arang sekam, vermiculite, perlite) dan empat taraf Air kelapa (0, 50, 100, 150 ml) pengamatan dilakukan selama 14 hari setelah tanam. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa variasi media tanam dan penambahan air kelapa berbeda nyata terhadap seluruh parameter penelitian. Air kelapa 50 ml dengan kombinasi media perlite menunjukkan tanaman tertinggi yaitu 24,02 cm. Perlakuan tanpa air kelapa dengan variasi media arang sekam memberikan berpengaruh nyata terhadap panjang akar dan berat kering dengan nilai tertinggi yaitu 12,70 cm dan 1,35 gram. Pada analisis kadar serat perlakuan tanpa air kelapa dan kombinasi media vermiculite menunjukkan hasil tertinggi yaitu 16,81 gram. Penambahan air kelapa 150 ml dengan kombinasi media perlite menunjukkan kadar klorofil total tertinggi yaitu 3,65 mg/g.en_US
