    Dekolorisasi Zat Warna Tekstil Azo Menggunakan Jamur Terimobilisasi dalam Poliuretan

    Abstract
    The textile industry is a growing industry in Indonesia and brings considerable profits. In addition to providing benefits, the textile industry also brings problems to the environment in the form of liquid waste. Textile industry wastewater is mainly generated from the dyeing process. Azo textile dyes are synthetic dyes that are often used in the textile industry. Azo dyes are resistant to degradation when they enter the stream and some of the degradation products of azo dyes may be carcinogenic. This study aims to obtain fungi that are able to decolorize azo textile dyes. In this study, the fungus was isolated from the soil area contaminated with dye waste using Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) media which was then screened. All fungal isolates were tested on solid Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) containing azo dyes as the sole carbon source, and they were able to grow best at dye concentration of 100 ppm. Among 11 isolates, NA8 show the highest growth (maximal growth in petri disk) on day 6th of incubator. Quantitative decolorization test on liquid Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) with the addition of 0.2% glucose showed by fungal isolates NA2, NA3, NA1, NA4 and NA9, with decolorization percentages between 61,5% to 73,3%.. Those isolates were immobilized in Polyurethane foam (PUF) and tested their ability to decolorize azo dyes. Some isolates NA9, NA3 and NA4 showed higher percentage of decolorization compare to the free micelium. It could be concluded that the three isolates were potential to be developed furthes as the agent of bioremediation.
     
    Indusri tekstil merupakan industri yang berkembang di Indonesia dan mendatangkan keuntungan cukup besar. Selain memberi keuntungan, industri tekstil juga mendatangkan masalah terhadap lingkungan dalam bentuk limbah cair. Limbah cair industri tekstil terutama dihasilkan dari proses pewarnaan. Zat warna tekstil azo merupakan zat warna sintetik yang sering digunakan dalam industri tekstil. Zat warna azo resisten terhadap degradasi saat sudah memasuki perairan dan beberapa produk degradasi zat warna azo kemungkinan bersifat karsinogenik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan jamur yang mampu mendekolorisasi zat watna tekstil azo. Pada penelitian ini jamur disolasi dari area tanah tercemar limbah zat warna menggunakan media Potato Dextrose Agar (PDA) yang selanjutnya dilakukan skrining. Seluruh isolat jamur yang diujikan pada media Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) padat yang mengandung zat warna azo sebagai sumber karbon utama mampu tumbuh dengan konsentrasi zat warna terbaik pada 100 ppm. Diantara 11 isolat, NA8 menunjukkan pertumbuhan tertinggi (pertumbuhan maksimal pada cawan petri) pada hari ke-6 di inkubator. Uji dekolorisasi secara kuntitatif pada media Mineral Salt Medium (MSM) cair dengan penambahan glukosa 0,2% oleh isolat jamur NA2, NA3, NA1, NA4 dan NA9, dengan persentase dekolorisasi diantara 61,5% sampai 73,3%. Isolat jamur diimobilisasi dalam Polyurethane foam (PUF) dan diujikan kemampuan dekolorisasinya terhadap zat warna tekstil azo. Beberapa isolat, NA9, NA3 dan NA4 menunjukkan persentase dekolorisasi yang tertinggi dibanding dengan miselium jamur dalam keadaan bebas. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa isolat NA9, NA3 dan NA4 berpotensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai agen bioremediasi.
