dc.description.abstractThe increase in exports of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) from North Sumatra indicates that the demand for processed cocoa (cocoa butter) in export destination markets of Malaysia and Singapore is quite good, so that competitiveness will also increase. This potential can provide added value for the national cocoa processing industry. This study to analyze competitiveness of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) of North Sumatra in the international market, analyze the factors that influence competitiveness of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) of North Sumatra in Malaysian and Singapore markets. The research method uses Revealed Comparative advantage (RCA) and Export Product Dynamic (EPD) to analyze competitiveness of North Sumatran processed cocoa (cocoa butter) in international market. Multiple Linear Regression to analyze factors that influence competitiveness of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) North Sumatra in Malaysian and Singapore markets. The results show that North Sumatra has strong competitiveness in Malaysian and Singapore markets. The factors that simultaneously influence competitiveness of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) of North Sumatra in Malaysian and Singapore markets are export volume of processed cocoa (cocoa butter) in North Sumatra, Domestic Price of Processed Cocoa (cocoa butter), Export Price of Processed Cocoa (cocoa butter) North Sumatra, Export Price of Processed Cocoa (cocoa butter) Ghana, Cocoa Bean Export Duty Policy.en_US
