    Abstract
    Fahmy Fadly. 2022. Application of Antagonistic Microbes to Increase Plant Resistance to Stem Rot Disease (Ganoderma boninense) in Palm Oil Pre-Nursery, supervised by Lisnawita and Irda Safni. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of antagonistic microbes to increase plant resistance to stem rot disease. This research was conducted at the Plant Disease Laboratory and greenhouse of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sumatera Utara. The study started from December 2019 to May 2020. This research used a non-factorial Randomized Block Design (RBD) with 17 treatments, namely the application of Trichoderma viride, T. harzianum, Stenotrophomonas spp. 1, and Stenotrophomonas spp. 2 single and combination, negative control (without G. boninense) and positive control (only G. boninense) with three replications. The results showed that the application of the two Trichoderma with the single application was effective in suppressing the infection rate of stem rot disease and could increase plant growth. Single application of the two Stenotrophomonas affects the thickening of the cortex in root tissue. The combination of T. harzianum, T. viride and Stenotrophomonas spp 1 was the most effective treatment for both plant resistance and growth.

Aplikasi Mikroba Antagonis untuk Meningkatkan Ketahanan Tanaman terhadap Penyakit Busuk Pangkal Batang (Ganoderma boninense) pada Tanaman Kelapa Sawit Pre Nursery, di bimbing oleh Lisnawita dan Irda Safni. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas mikroba antagonis dalam meningkatkan ketahanan tanaman terhadap penyakit busuk pangkal batang. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di Laboratorium Penyakit Tumbuhan dan rumah kaca Fakultas Pertanian Universitas Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dimulai pada bulan Desember 2019 sampai Mei 2020. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) non-faktorial dengan 17 perlakuan, yaitu aplikasi Trichoderma viride, T. harzianum, Stenotrophomonas spp. 1, dan Stenotrophomonas spp. 2 tunggal dan kombinasi, kontrol negatif (tanpa G. boninense) dan kontrol positif (hanya G. boninense) dengan tiga ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa aplikasi kedua Trichoderma secara tunggal efektif untuk menekan laju infeksi serangan penyakit busuk pangkal batang dan dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan tanaman. Aplikasi secara tunggal kedua bakteri Stenotrophomonas berpengaruh terhadap penebalan korteks pada jaringan akar. Kombinasi antara T. harzianum, T. viride dan Stenotrophomonas spp 1 merupakan perlakuan yang paling efektif baik untuk ketahanan maupun pertumbuhan tanaman.
