    Hubungan Kerapatan Lamun terhadap Kepadatan Mikroplastik di Pulau Poncan Gadang Kota Sibolga

    Abstract
    Seagrass, the source of life for marine life grows in small and uneven amounts in Poncan Gadang Island. The small size of microplastics in the water allows them to be easily carried by current or wave and trapped in seagrass ecosystems. The purpose of this study was to determine the condition and relationship between seagrass beds, types and density of microplastics in Poncan Gadang Island. This research was done from August to October 2021. Seagrass density was measured by the calculation of the number of individual species using transect. Sediment samples for microplastic analysis were taken using a corer. Microplastic density was analyzed using sediment density separation and hand sorting. The most dominant seagrass density was at station 1 (221 ind/m2), station 3 (124 ind/m2) and station 2 (109 ind/m2). Most dominant type of microplastic is fragment and the least is foam, followed by the dominant microplastic density at station 1 (383 types/kg), station 3 (268 types/kg) and station 2 (359 types/kg). Seagrass density was negatively correlated with microplastic density (-0.260) with a low relationship.
     
    Lamun sumber kehidupan bagi biota laut tumbuh dalam jumlah sedikit dan tidak merata di Pulau Poncan Gadang. Mikroplastik ukurannya yang kecil di perairan memungkinkan mudah terbawa arus maupun gelombang dan terperangkap pada ekosistem lamun. Tujuan Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui kondisi padang lamun, jenis dan kepadatan mikroplastik Pulau Poncan Gadang beserta hubungannya. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Agustus – Oktober 2021. Kerapatan Lamun diukur meliputi perhitungan jumlah tegakan dengan menggunakan transek. Sampel sedimen untuk analisa mikroplastik diambil menggunakan corer. Kepadatan mikroplastik dianalisis menggunakan pemisahan densitas sedimen dan pemilahan tangan. Kerapatan lamun yang paling dominan di stasiun 1 (221 ind/ m2), stasiun 3 (124 ind/ m2) dan stasiun 2 (109 ind/ m2). Jenis mikroplastik yang dominan yaitu fragmen dan paling sedikit adalah foam, diikuti dengan kepadatan mikroplastik yang dominan di stasiun 1 (383 jenis/kg), stasiun 3 (268 jenis/kg) dan stasiun 2 (359 jenis/kg). Kerapatan lamun berkolerasi negatif dengan kepadatan mikroplastik (-0,260) dengan hubungan yang rendah.
