    Abstract
    One of the parameters in determining an oil quality can be determined by using an iodine number analysis that represents the size of an oil's unsaturation. When the iodine number is higher, the higher the level of unsaturation of an oil, and it shows the quality of an improved oil. From result of analysis that have been done, obtained mean iodine number for RBD Palm Stearin (1) = 35,56 meq RBD Palm Stearin (2) = 35,67 meq, RBD Palm Stearin (3) = 35,74 meq and for RBD Palm Olein (1) = 58,50 meq, RBD Palm Olein (2) = 58,42 meq, RBD Palm Olein (3) = 58,71 meq. And from the data obtained the results of the analysis have met the quality standard is for RBD Palm Stearin = min 35 meq and for RBD Palm Olein = min 56 meq.
     
    Salah satu parameter dalam menentukan suatu kualitas minyak dapat ditentukan dengan menggunakan analisis bilangan iodine yang menyatakan ukuran ketidakjenuhan suatu minyak. Bila bilangan iodine semakin tinggi, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat ketidakjenuhan suatu minyak, dan itu menunjukkan kualitas suatu minyak semakin bagus. Dari hasil analisis yang telah dilakukan, diperoleh rata-rata bilangan iodin untuk RBD Palm Stearin (1) = 35,56 meq RBD Palm Stearin (2) = 35,67 meq, RBD Palm Stearin (3) = 35,74 meq dan untuk RBD Palm Olein (1) = 58,50 meq, RBDP Olein (2) = 58,42 meq, RBD Palm Olein (3) = 58,71 meq. Dan dari data yang diperoleh hasil analisis telah memenuhi Standar Mutu yaitu untuk RBD Palm Stearin = min 35 meq dan untuk RBD Palm Olein = min 56 meq.
