dc.description.abstractThe effect of quality mulberry leaf Morus cathayana on nutrition index of silkworm Bombyx mori L. have been conducted in Animal Physiology Laboratory and Genetics Laboratory, Department of Biology and Biochemistry Laboratory, Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences, University of Sumatera Utara, Medan. This research used Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with two treatments, the first was mulberry plant that cultivated on soil with Urea, TSP and NPK fertilizers. The second plants were not fertilized at all. Each treatment was replicated 20 times. The results showed that the addition of Urea, TSP and NPK fertilizer on mulberry has effect (p<0.05) on increasing of the growth rate (GR) in instar III, the consumption rate (CR) of instars III and V, efficiency of conversion of ingested food (ECI) in instar III and V, approximate digestibility (AD) in instar III, IV dan V, 20%, 7% and 24%, 40% and 51%, 15%, 21% and 70% respectively.en_US
dc.description.abstractPenelitian tentang pengaruh kualitas daun murbei Morus cathayana terhadap indeks nutrisi ulat sutera Bombyx mori L. telah dilakukan di Laboratorium Fisiologi Hewan dan Laboratorium Genetika, Departemen Biologi serta Laboratorium Biokimia, Departemen Kimia, Fakultas Matematika dan Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam, Universitas Sumatera Utara, Medan. Penelitian ini menggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL) dengan dua perlakuan, yaitu perlakuan dengan tanaman murbei Morus cathayana yang diberi pupuk dan yang tanpa diberi pupuk. Masing-masing perlakuan terdiri dari 20 ulangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian pupuk Urea, TSP dan NPK pada tanaman murbei Morus cathayana memberi pengaruh nyata (p<0,05) pada nilai laju pertumbuhan (GR) pada instar III, laju konsumsi (CR) pada instar III dan V, efisiensi konversi pakan yang dimakan (ECI) pada instar III dan V, perkiraan daya cerna (AD) pada instar III, IV dan V, masing-masing sebesar 20%, 7% dan 24%, 40% dan 51%, 15%, 21% dan 70%.en_US
