    Keanekaragaman Fitoplankton dan Hubungannya dengan Kualitas Air di Sungai Aek Pohon Kabupaten Mandailing Natal Provinsi Sumatera Utara

    Abstract
    Phytoplankton is one of the organisms that is strongly influenced by changes of water quality. Phytoplankton can be used as an indicator to evaluate the quality and level of fertility of waters. The purpose of this study to determine the diversity of phytolankton and relationship with water quality in Aek Pohon River, Mandailing Natal Regency, North Sumatra Province. The research was carried out in August-October 2021 using a purposive sampling method by looking the utilization and differences in environmental conditions around the Aek Pohon River at 3 observation stations. The quality of the Aek Pohon River in Mandailing Natal Regency based on the storet method meets the quality standard at stations I and III with a storet value of 0. Station II with a storet value -2 is categorized lightly polluted. Based on the phytoplankton saprobic index, Aek Pohon River was grouped into Meso/Oligosaprobic with a saprobic value 1.1 and included in waters with mild polluted conditions. The value of phytoplankton diversity shows that all stations are included in the diversity, while the diversity value at station I is 2.538, station II is 2.886 and station III is 2.878. The results of the principal component analysis showed that temperature, pH, DO, phosphate and nitrate were positively correlated with phytoplankton diversity with each correlation value of 0.417; 0.411; 0.081; 0.346 and 0.433. The relationship brightness and current velocity has a negative correlation (not direct) to the diversity of phytoplankton with correlation each values is -0.052 and -0.297.
     
    Fitoplankton merupakan salah satu organisme yang sangat dipengaruhi oleh perubahan kualitas air. Fitoplankton dapat dijadikan sebagai indikator untuk mengevaluasi kualitas dan tingkat kesuburan suatu perairan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui keanekaragaman fitolankton dan hubungannya dengan kualitas air di Sungai Aek Pohon Kabupaten Mandailing Natal Provinsi Sumatera Utara. Penelitian dilaksanakan bulan Agustus-Oktober 2021 menggunaan metode purposive sampling dengan melihat pemanfaatan dan perbedaan kondisi lingkungan disekitar Sungai Aek Pohon pada 3 stasiun pengamatan. Kualitas Sungai Aek Pohon Kabupaten Mandailing Natal berdasarkan metode storet memenuhi baku mutu pada stasiun I dan III dengan nilai storet yaitu 0. Stasiun II dengan nilai storet yaitu -2 dikategorikan tercemar ringan. Berdasarkan indeks saprobik fitoplankton Sungai Aek Pohon dikelompokkan kedalam βMeso/Oligosaprobik dengan nilai saprobitas 1,1 dan termasuk kedalam perairan dengan kondisi tercemar ringan. Nilai keanekaragaman fitoplankton menunjukkan bahwa seluruh stasiun termasuk kedalam keanekaragaman sedang nilai keanekaragaman pada stasiun I yaitu 2,538, stasiun II yaitu 2,886 dan stasiun III yaitu 2,878. Hasil principal component analysis menunjukkan suhu, pH, DO, fosfat dan nitrat berkorelasi positif terhadap keanekaragaman fitoplankton dengan masing-masing nilai korelasi 0,417; 0,411; 0,081; 0,346 dan 0,433. Hubungan kecerahan dan kecepatan arus berkorelasi negatif (tidak searah) terhadap keanekaragaman fitoplankton dengan masing-masing nilai korelasi -0,052 dan -0,297.
