The availability of Telkomsel's BTS (Base Transceiver Station) production equipment
network against Telkomsel services in the Sumatra Area did not meet the target set by
management for two consecutive years, from 2017 to 2018. The target determined was
the percentage value of network availability (level the performance of production
equipment in operating to serve customers) must reach at least 99.1%. This condition
shows that the RTPO Work Unit in Sumatra Area has not been optimal in operating
production equipment so that network services are still experiencing disruptions, and
also results in decreased revenue. This encourages researchers to conduct research on
the performance of employees in the Sumatra Area Telkomsel RTPO Work Unit by
testing the variables of emotional fatigue and job satisfaction as factors that influence
it. The study was conducted on 84 (eighty four) employees in the Sumatra Area
Telkomsel RTPO Work Unit as the population. By applying the path analysis method
using SPSS Statistics 23 it is concluded that emotional exhaustion does not significantly
affect employee performance, job satisfaction significantly affects employee
performance, and emotional exhaustion significantly influences performance through
job satisfaction. Ketersediaan jaringan alat produksi BTS (Base Transceiver Station) Telkomsel terhadap layanan Telkomsel di Area Sumatera tidak memenuhi target yang telah ditetapkan manajemen selama dua tahun berturut – turut, yaitu sejak tahun 2017 hingga tahun 2018. Adapun target yang ditentukan yaitu nilai persentase ketersediaan jaringan (tingkat kinerja alat produksi dalam beroperasi melayani pelanggan) harus mencapai minimal 99.1%. Kondisi ini menunjukkan bahwa Unit Kerja RTPO di Area Sumatera belum optimal dalam mengoperasikan alat produksi sehingga layanan jaringan masih mengalami gangguan, dan juga berujung pada dampak menurunnya peningkatan revenue. Hal ini mendorong peneliti untuk melakukan penelitian terhadap kinerja karyawan di Unit Kerja RTPO Telkomsel Area Sumatera dengan menguji variabel kelelahan emosional dan kepuasan kerja sebagai faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Penelitian dilakukan pada 84 (delapan puluh empat) karyawan di Unit Kerja RTPO Telkomsel Area Sumatera sebagai populasinya. Dengan menerapkan metode analisis jalur menggunakan SPSS Statistik didapatkan kesimpulan bahwa kelelahan emosional tidak mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan secara signifikan, kepuasan kerja signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja karyawan, dan kelelahan emosional secara signifikan mempengaruhi kinerja melalui kepuasan kerja.
