The eating habits of duri fish (Hexanematichthys sagor) in the Belawan river, Belawan Sicanang Village, Medan Belawan Regency, was carried out from July to August 2021. The aim was to analyze eating habits of the fish. The method used was purposive sampling by determining three sampling stations based on human activities surrounding the station. Data analysis measured were index of preponderance (analysis of eating habits), frequency of occurrence, index stomach content (ISC), length-weight relationship, and physical chemical parameters of the river water. Results showed the highest index of preponderance (IP) of duri fish was crustaceans with IP 49.9% at station 1. The main food of duri fish came from groups of crustaceans and molluscs. The highest index of stomach content (ISC) was found 0,92% at station 2. The relationship between length and weight of the fish was negative allometric and positive allometric with a value of b: 2.9842-3.2347. Penelitian mengenai kebiasaan makan ikan Duri (Hexanematichthys sagor) di sungai Belawan Kelurahan Belawan Sicanang Kecamatan Medan Belawan telah dilaksanakan pada bulan Juli sampai Agustus 2021. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kebiasaan makan ikan Duri (Hexanematichthys sagor). Metode yang digunakan yaitu purposive sampling dengan menentukan tiga stasiun pengambilan sampel berdasarkan aktivitas di sekitar stasiun tersebut. Analisis data meliputi Index of Preponderance (Analisis Kebiasaan Makan), Frekuensi Kejadian, Indeks Kepenuhan Lambung (ISC), Hubungan Panjang Bobot, serta Parameter Fisika Kimia Perairan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan nilai Index of Preponderance (IP) tertinggi yaitu Krustasea sebesar 49,9% pada stasiun 1. Makanan utama ikan Duri berasal dari kelompok organisme Krustasea dan Moluska. Nilai indeks kepenuhan lambung (ISC) tertinggi terdapat pada stasiun 2 sebesar 0,92%. Hubungan panjang bobot ikan Duri bersifat allometrik negatif dan allometrik positif dengan nilai b : 2,9842-3,2347.
