Faktor – Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Depresi Pada Orang dengan Systemic Lupus Erythematosus di Instalasi Rawat Jalan Penyakit dalam Rumah Sakit Umum Pusat Haji Adam Malik

Abstract

Objectives: This study is to determine factors related to depressive symptoms in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus attending interna outpatient clinic of Central General Hospital of Adam Malik Medan. Methods: This multivariate predictive study was conducted with cross sectional approach in order to assess factors associated with depressive symptoms in patients with systemic lupus erythematosus attending interna outpatient clinic of Central General Hospital of Adam Malik Medan. Therefore, Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II) was used to measure the level of depressive symptoms among the subjects. Results: A total of 111 female participants involved in this study. Most of our participants are batak (54.1%) married (62.2%), and employed (52.3%) with the median (minimum-maximum) of age is 39 (20-58) years, length of education is 15 (6-17) years, monthly income of 4.2 (1.5-7) million, body mass index of 24.14 (17.53-35.64) kg/m2, illness’s duration of 7 (1-25) years, degree’s disease of 10 (2-55), and prednisone dose of 22.5 (5-50) mg/day. We found that depressive symptoms among our participants is approximately 17.32±8.132 and significant relationship between some independent risk factors with depressive symptoms score, as in the following; age (p<0.001), ethnic (p=0.007), length of education (p=0.037), monthly income (p<0.001), body mass index (p=0.003), duration of illness (p<0.001), degree’s disease (p=0.011) and prednisone dose (p=0.036). Conclusion: age, ethnic, length of education, monthly income, body mass index, duration of illness, degree’s disease and prednisone dose are independent risk factors contributing to depressive symptoms

Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang berhubungan dengan depresi pada orang dengan systemic lupus erythematosus di RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian multivariat tipe prediktif dengan pendekatan potong lintang untuk mengetahui hubungan faktor dengan depresi pada orang dengan systemic lupus erythematosus di RSUP. H. Adam Malik dengan menggunakan instrumen Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II). Hasil: Sebanyak 111 subjek perempuan ikut serta dalam studi ini, dengan suku terbanyak adalah batak (54.1%), dengan status pernikahan terbanyak adalah menikah (62.2%), dengan status pekerjaan terbanyak adalah bekerja (52.3%), dengan median (minimum-maksimum) dari umur adalah 39 (20-58) tahun, dengan lama pendidikan adalah 15 (6-17) tahun, dengan pendapatan perbulan 4.2 (1.5-7) juta, dengan indeks massa tubuh 24.14 (17.53-35.64) kg/m2, dengan lama sakit 7 (1-25 ) tahun, dengan derajat penyakit 10 (2-55), dan dengan dosis prednison 22,5 (5-50) mg/hari. Nilai rerata±s.b skor depresi adalah 17,32±8.132. Pada studi ini terdapat hubungan signifikan antara variabel bebas dan depresi pada orang dengan systemic lupus erythematosus dimana umur (p<0,001), suku (p=0,007), lama pendidikan (p=0,037), pendapatan perbulan (p<0,001), indeks massa tubuh (p=0,003), durasi penyakit (p<0,001), derajat penyakit (p=0,011) dan dosis prednison (p = 0,036). Kesimpulan: Faktor yang berhubungan dengan depresi adalah umur, suku, lama pendidikan, pendapatan perbulan, indeks massa tubuh, lama sakit, derajat penyakit, dan dosis prednison.
