    Abstract
The aims of this thesis are to find out the aspects of conversation analysis use in communication between Astronauts and NASA Deep Space Network (DSN) under the framework of conversational analysis based on Paltridge’s theory. The research data are text that transcribed by utterances from Youtube downloaded. The method used in this research is descriptive qualitative by applying document study for data collection and content analysis for data analysis. The result of this study shows that there are 6 types of adjacency pairs, the data analysis were found there are 47 utterances that consist of adjacency pairs. the findings were found, there are 7 requesting – aggrement, 11 assesment – agreement, 17 question – answer, 1 compliment – acceptance, 1 complaint – apology, 10 offer - acceptance for adjacency pairs. All aspects of adjacency pairs are used to make sure about the information shared whether it is accepted or not. The question – answer turn is mostly used by the capcom to ask something to the astronaut while the communication is on going. Assesment - Agreement used by Astronaut to give their status and current condition on space and ask for aggrement to the capcom and then offer – acceptance is used by capcom to another capcom to offering something. The research concluded that adjacency pairs are the dominant aspects that found in the conversation between Astronauts and NASA Deep Space Network (DSN).
