    Produksi dan Komposisi Kimia Susu Kambing Saanen (Capra Aegagrus H. ) yang Diberi Ransum Daun Pepaya (Carica Papaya L.) dan Pakan Konsentrat

    Abstract
    Milk production and chemical composition are strongly influenced by feed. This study aims to determine the effect of papaya leaf and feed concentrates on milk production, feed consumption, feed conversion and chemical composition of goat's milk. This research was carried out from November to February 2022 at Tharayya Farm, Sunggal District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatera. Chemical composition of milk was analized at the Laboratory of the Research and Industrial Standardization Institute, Medan. The number of goats used were 30 aged from 7 to 8 months. The feed treatments consisted of papaya leaves 35% and concentrate 65%, and concentrate. Parameters of milk determined were solid materials, carbohydrates, proteins, fats and calcium. Results showed goats fed by papaya leaves had higher milk production, high feed consumption and feed conversion than that of goats fed by concentrates. In addition chemical composition of milk on carbohydrate, fat, and calcium content showed significant differences (p<0.05).
     
    Produksi dan komposisi kimia susu sangat dipengaruhi oleh pakan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian pakan ransum daun pepaya dan konsentrat terhadap produksi susu, konsumsi pakan, konversi pakan dan komposisi kimia susu kambing. Penelitian ini telah dilaksanakan pada November hingga Februari 2022 di peternakan Tharayya Farm, Kecamatan Sunggal, Kabupaten Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara. Analisis komposisi kimia susu dilakukan di Laboratorium Balai Riset dan Standarisasi Industri, Medan. Kambing yang digunakan pada penelitian ini sebanyak 30 ekor yang berusia 7-8 bulan. Perlakuan pakan terdiri dari ransum (daun pepaya 35% dan konsentrat 65%), dan konsentrat. Parameter yang diukur untuk komposisi kimia susu meliputi bahan padat, karbohidrat, protein, lemak dan kalsium. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kambing yang diberi pakan ransum memiliki produksi susu, konsumsi dan konversi pakan yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan kambing yang diberi konsentrat, Hasil analisis statistik komposisi kimia susu pada kandungan karbohidrat, lemak, dan kalsium menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p<0,05).
