dc.description.abstract | The West Block Batang Toru Forest Research Station, North Tapanuli Regency North Sumatra Province, is one of the lowland forests in Sumatra. The purpose of the study was to determine the structure and the composition of the Dipterocarpaceae at the West Block Batang Toru Forest Research Station. This research was conducted from September 2021 to March 2022. The research location was determined by the purposive sampling method using a transect length of 300 meters. Each lane had plots of 20 x 20 meters measuring on a zig zag position and had an interval of 10 meters. The number of the plots in each lane were 10 plots and a total plots were 90 plots.Base on the observations, there were 9 species of Dipterocarpaceae obtained with a total 621 individuals. The base area ranged from 578.02 cm2/Ha to 397.894.43 cm2/Ha, and the highest basal area was at the tree level. The vegetation composition ranged from 60% to 66%, also the highest composition was at the tree level. The base area of Dipterocarpaceae class had the highest tree level at LBD values of 0-5000 cm with a total of 62 individual trees. The base area class for the highest pole level was at the LBD value of 10-15 cm with a total of 42 individuals. The base area class had the highest sampling rate at 1-2 cm LBD with a total of 64 individuals. Shorea platyclados had a compositional percentage value at the tree level with a value of 66%, the pole level of 53%, the sapling rate of 34%, and the seedling level of 9%. The amount of carbon stored at all levels of the growth of Dipterocarpaceae, at the West Block Batang Toru Forest Research Station, was 91.534 tons/ha. | en_US |
dc.description.abstract | Stasiun Riset Hutan Batang Toru Blok Barat, Kabupaten Tapanuli Utara, Provinsi Sumatera Utara merupakan salah satu hutan daratan rendah di Sumatera. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui struktur dan komposisi serta karbon tersimpan Dipterocarpaceae di Stasiun Riset Hutan Batang Toru Blok Barat. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan pada bulan September 2021 sampai Maret 2022. Metode penelitian dengan Purposive sampling dengan panjang jalur transek 300 meter. Setiap jalur dibuat plot berukuran 20 x 20 meter secara zig zag dengan interval 10 meter. Total plot pada setiap jalur berjumlah 10 plot dan total keseluruhan plot 90. Diperoleh 9 jenis Dipterocarpaceae dengan jumlah individu 621. Luas bidang dasar pada tingkat pohon berkisar antara 578,02 cm2/Ha sampai 397.894,43 cm2/Ha. Komposisi vegetasi dari seluruh tingkatan pertumbuhan berkisar antara 34% sampai 66%, komposisi tertinggi pada tingkat pohon. Kelas luas bidang dasar Dipterocarpaceae tingkat pohon tertinggi pada nilai LBD 0-5000 cm dengan total individu 62 pohon. Kelas luas bidang dasar tingkat pole tertinggi pada nilai LBD 10-15 cm dengan total 42 individu. Kelas luas bidang dasar tingkat sapling tertinggi pada nilai LBD 1-2 cm dengan total 64 individu. Shorea platyclados mempunyai nilai persentasi komposisi pada tingkat pohon dengan nilai 66%, tingkat pole 53%, tingkat sapling 34%, dan pada tingkat seedling 9%. Karbon Tersimpan pada seluruh tingkatan pertumbuhan Dipterocarpaceae sebesar 91.534 ton/Ha. | en_US |
