Jenis dan Prevalensi Parasit Gastrointestinal pada Kelinci (Oryctolagus cuniculus) di Taman Satwa Citra Pesona Ladangku, Pancur Batu, Deli Serdang, Sumatera Utara
Abstract
The purpose of this study was to determine the type, prevalence and intensity of endoparasite attack on rabbit feces (Oryctolagus cuniculus) in Citra Pesona Ladangku Animal Park. This research was conducted from May to June 2022. Rabbit feces were collected by observing rabbits. Sample testing was carried out at the Parasitology Laboratory of the Medan Veterinary Center with the EPG Mc. Masters. From a total of 13 samples, all of them were positive for parasite infection. The types of parasites identified were Eimeria sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Cittotaenia sp. and Taenia sp.. Eimeria sp. having a prevalence of 92.30% (almost always) and an attack intensity of 600 (very severe parasites), Trichostrongylus sp. has a prevalence of 23.07% (often) and an attack intensity of 100 (severe parasites), Cittotaenia sp. It has a prevalence of 23.07% (often) and an attack intensity of 133.3% (very severe parasites) and Taenia sp. has a prevalence of 76.92% (Usually) and an attack intensity of 1340 (Super parasitic infection). Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis, prevalensi dan intensitas serangan endoparasit pada feses kelinci (Oryctolagus cuniculus) di Taman Satwa Citra Pesona Ladangku. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Mei sampai Juni 2022. Pengambilan feses kelinci dilakukan dengan cara mengamati kelinci. Pengujian sampel dilakukan di Laboratorium Parasitologi Balai Veteriner Medan dengan metode uji EPG Mc. Master. Dari total 13 sampel semuanya positif terinfeksi parasit. Jenis parasit yang teridentifikasi adalah Eimeria sp., Trichostrongylus sp., Cittotaenia sp. dan Taenia sp.. Eimeria sp. memiliki prevalensi 92,30% (Hampir selalu) dan intensitas serangan 600 (Parasit sangat berat), Trichostrongylus sp. memiliki prevalensi 23,07% (Sering) dan intensitas serangan 100 (Parasit berat), Cittotaenia sp. Memiliki prevalensi 23,07% (Sering) dan intensitas serangan 133,3% (Parasit sangat berat) dan Taenia sp. memiliki prevalensi 76,92% (Biasanya) dan intensitas serangan 1340 (Super infeksi parasit).
