Penentuan Dobi (Deterioration Of Bleachability Index) dalam CPO (Crude Palm Oil) Menggunakan Spektrofotometri UV-Vis di PT.Socfindo Negeri Lama

Abstract

DOBI (Deterioration Of Bleachability Index) is the ratio of the ratio of absorbance in the visible range and absorbance in the UV range needed to determine the quality of CPO. To determine the value of DOBI, a study was conducted using the UV-Vis Spectrophotometer tool. From the results of the study obtained DOBI values in CPO using n-hexane solvent 2.43 ppm. Based on the results of these observations, the DOBI value in the CPO obtained meets the Dobi quality standards for good quality according to PORAM (Palm Oil Refiners Association Of Malaysia

DOBI (Deterioration Of Bleachability Index) adalah rasio perbandingan absorbansi pada range visible dan absorbansi pada range UV yang diperlukan untuk menentukan kualitas CPO. Untuk mengetahui nilai DOBI dilakukan penelitian dengan menggunakan alat Spektrofotometer UV-Vis. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai DOBI dalam CPO dengan menggunakan pelarut n-heksan 2,43 ppm. Berdasarkan hasil pengamatan tersebut nilai DOBI dalam CPO yang diperoleh memenuhi standart mutu kualitas DOBI yang baik sesuai PORAM (Palm Oil Refiners Association Of Malaysia).
