Research had been conducted on determining the levels of phosphate and nitrite in river water by UV-Visible spectrophotometric method at PT. Shafera Enviro Laboratorium. In determination of phosphate levels, starting with the addition of phenolphthalein indicators into each sample, then mixed solution was added and homogenized, then the solution was measured using a UV-Visible spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 880 nm. The determination of nitrite levels in river water samples begins with the addition of sulfanilamide solution into each sample then homogenized and allowed to stand for 2-8 minutes, then a solution of NED Dihydrochloride is added then homogenized and allowed for 10 minutes, then the solution is measured with a UV-Visible spectrophotometer at a wavelength of 543 nm. From the results of measurements made at PT. Shafera Enviro Laboratorium obtained phosphate levels in the the sample code AP Hulu I of 0.264 mg/L and in the sample code AP Hilir II of 0.254 mg/L, and the nitrite content obtained in the sample code AP Hulu I is 0.002 mg/L and in the sample code AP Hilir II is 0.001 mg/L. In accordance with Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia No.22 of 2021 concerning the Implementation of Environmental Protection and Management, the sample codes with AP Hulu I and AP Hilir II did not meet requirements phosphate quality standards and in the sample codes AP Hulu I and AP Hilir II met nitrite quality standards.
