    Abstract
Logical meaning is the meaning from the relation of one experience in relation to another unit of experience. The experiential relation has at least two clauses. Bahasa Alas (BA) has the similarities with other Indonesian languages and have logicosemantics. Yet BA also has uniqueness especially in taxis distribution because of culture and the setting of the use. The problems of the research are what the logical relation used in narative text of BA, what kind of logical relation to be dominant and why the logical relation to be used. The basic objectives of the research are to describe the logical relation in narration of BA, to determine the types logical relations used dominantly in narration of BA, and to investigate the reasons or social context of logical relation use. Source of the data is the logical semantics of narration in BA. The method used in this research is descriptive-qualitative analysis. The data used are the texts of narration of BA. The data were collected by using tape recorder. They were analyzed by using logical semantic and taxis formula. The findings of the research indicate that enhancement-hypotactic expansion becomes dominant logicosemantic relation. The second dominant relation is paratactic-locution projection. This happens because any narration has time, location, and place. To realize the narration the narrators tend to use enhancement-hypotactic expansion. The emergence of enhancement-hypotactic expansion indicates that the narration of BA is similar with other narrations in lndonesian languages. The emergence of paratactic-locution projection indicates that Alasnese society still respect their forefathers. In other words, the taxis keeps the original of family stratum. It is concluded that all logicosemantics are found in BA; the dominant logical relation is enhancement hypotactic expansion and the Alasnese narrations tent to use adverbial clauses. It is suggested so that the Alasnese society perpetuates narrative telling to ther sons and daughters; this is conducted by using electronic media (audio-visual aids), government publishes the available narrations; and the Alasnese society use BA in school as a local subject.
