dc.description.abstractThe research was conducted in 11 villages from 3 subdistricts in South of Nias, Nias Island, from September to December 2006. Blood examination was done to 656 persons with result 200 persons who got Plasmodium falciparum. And from that people, only 71 persons who fullfill the research criteria as uncomplicated falciparum malaria. Then they were divided into two groups, 33 persons into Quinine-Clindamycin 3 days group (QC3) and 38 persors into Quinine-Clindamycin 5 days (QC5). At the end of the research, 8 persons were excluded from the study because of reject to continue the blood examination (2 persons from QC3 and 1 person from QC5) and reject to complete intake drugs especially from the fourth day (5 persons from QC5). So there were only 63 persons who finished the research, 31 persons in QC3 and 32 persons in QC5.en_US
