    Abstract
Background: Sepsis leads to an increase in the amount of triglyceride as well as changes in the functional and structural components of lipoproteins. Triglycerides are innate immunity, agents and as fuel during infection. The triglyceride level is directly proportional to the severity of sepsis and is associated with a systemic inflammatory response. Elevated triglyceride levels are associated with 2 mechanisms namely the role of lipoprotein lipase and triglyceride secretion by the liver organ, But in this study there was no significant results.
