Crude Palm Oil (CPO) is palm oil that is produced from the extraction of the flesh of the oil palm fruit and has not been purified. Crude palm oil is a commodity that has high economic value, because it is the main raw material in the manufacture of food products, cosmetic products, chemical products, and animal feed products. This study aims to determine the levels of phosphorus and DOBI values using the UV-VIS spectrophotometric instrument method with the principle of measuring the transmittance or absorbance of each sample that will absorb light at a certain wavelength. Determination of phosphorus content using a wavelength of 400 nm while the determination of DOBI values using wavelengths of 269 nm and 446 nm. From the results of the analysis carried out on the CPO sample obtained 15.73 ppm; 15.86 ppm; 20.65 ppm; 20.23 ppm; 34.02 ppm; 31.16 ppm and obtained DOBI value of 1.37; 1.37; 2.10; 2.10; 0.90; 0.90. The average value of phosphorus content obtained is 15.79 ppm; 20.44 ppm; 32.59 ppm and the average DOBI value obtained is 1.37; 2.10; 0.90. From the results of the analysis of the average phosphorus content and DOBI values obtained, it shows that the results obtained are not much different from those determined based on references from the Codex Alimentarius Commission (CAC) in international trade.
