Penentuan Kadar Asam Lemak Bebas (ALB) dan Kadar Air pada Minyak Crude Palm Oil (CPO) di PKS Pagar Merbau Lubuk Pakam

Abstract

Determination of free fatty acid (ALB) and moisture content in CPO oil has been carried out in palm oil companies (PKS). The sample studied came from the PKS plantation. The research method used is the open oven method for determining water content and Alkalimetric titration method for determining Free Fatty Acid (ALB) levels, using palm CP0 oil. From the results of the research conducted, the average free fatty acid (ALB) content obtained from CPO 1 was 3.53% and the free fatty acid content (ALB) obtained from CPO 2 was 4.02% while the quality standard of fatty acid content The free allowance (ALB) set by PKS Pagar Merbau Lubuk Pakam is 3%–5%. The average water content obtained from CPO 1 is 0.68% and the water content obtained from CPO 2 is 0.82% while the water content quality standard set by PKS Pagar Merbau Lubuk Pakam is 0.16% - 0, 25%. So the results obtained are for the free fatty acid (ALB) levels the results are in accordance with the quality standard for the free fatty acid (ALB) levels set by PKS Pagar Merbau Lubuk Pakam. While the water content is not in accordance with the quality standards set by the PKS Pagar Merbau Lubuk Pakam.
