Air is the most important substance after water in providing life on the surface of this earth. In addition to providing oxygen, air also functions as a means of conveying sounds and sounds, cooling hot objects, and can be a medium for the spread of disease in living things. Air in nature has never been found clean without pollutants every day so that it can cause damage to the respiratory tract in humans or animals and plants. Ambient air quality standard is a measure of the limits or levels of substances, energy and / or components that exist or which should be and / or pollutants which are tolerated in the ambient air. In this case the content of NO2 in ambient air were analyzed using the Griess Saltzman method by spectrophotometry at a wavelength of 550 nm. The results of analysis obtained from NO2 parameters are 7,68 μg/Nm3. Where the requirements according to the Government Regulation of the Republic of Indonesia number 41 of 1999 concerning air pollution control are declared safe and meet the requirements for human health and the environment.
