Abstract

Analysis of nitrogen content in crumb rubber SIR 20 has been carried out at UPT. Testing and Quality Certification of Quality Product Medan, this research was conducted aimed at determining the quality of SIR 20 type crumb rubber whether it was in accordance with the terms and conditions of SNI 1903 : 2011. The analysis of nitrogen content in crumb rubber SIR 20 was carried out using the Kjeldahl method. From the analysis results obtained nitrogen content ranged from 0.22% to 0.27%. Based on the data obtained, it shows that the quality requirements of the nitrogen content of crumb rubber SIR 20 have met the quality standard according to SNI 1903 : 2011 which is below the average of 0.60%.
