    Terjemahan Kohesi Gramatikal pada Novel I Am Number Four dalam Bahasa Indonesia

    Abstract
    This study aims to identify and describe (1) the grammatical cohesion in the novel 1 Am Number Four and its translation "No. 4 adalah Pahlawan bagi Generasi lni ", (2) translation shift of grammatical cohesion in the translation of novel I Am Number Four, (3) The acceptability of the translation of grammatical cohesion in the translation of novel I Am Number Four. The theory of cohesion as the basic of this study is proposed by Halliday dan Hasan (1976). The theory of translation shift used in analyzing the data is proposed by Catford (1965). The assessment of translation quality, especially the acceptability of translation uses instrument of translation acceptability model by Nababan (2012). The method of research is a descriptive qualitative. The source of data are novel I Am Number Four (ST) and its translation "No. 4 adalah Pahlawan bagi Generasi lni"(TT). The data are 93 grammatical cohesion in sentences those consist of 71 words and 22 phrases in ST and 30 words and 63 phrases in TT. The results of problem one show that from 93 data are found 4 types of grammatical cohesions in ST that consist of 62 references (66. 7%), 10 ellipsis (10.8%), 17 substitution (18.2%) and 4 conjunctions (4.3%). While in TT, there are two types of cohesion those are a lexical cohesion is 37 repetition (33%) and 4 grammatical cohesions that consist of 58 reference (51.8%), 2 ellipsis (1.8%), 10 substitution (9%), 5 conjunctions (4.4%). The results of problem two show that 10 of 93 data are found two translation shift, thus there are 103 shift that consist of 32 structure shift (31.1 %), 53 unit shift (51.4%), 11 class shift (10. 7%) and 7 intra system shift (6.8%). The results of problem one show that from 93 data are found 83 acceptable translation 89.25 %, 6 less acceptable 6.45 %, and 4 unacceptable 4.30 %.
