    Abstract
Organic waste is residual waste, most of which cannot be used anymore, but it is always increasing in its procurement. Currently, the presence of organic waste often interferes with the cleanliness and beauty of the surrounding environment due to the decomposition process causing a foul odor. A tool has been designed and implemented that makes it easier to dispose of waste and also helps to minimize the bad smell of organic waste. Disposing of garbage is fun because this trash can is equipped with an ultrasonic sensor, servo motor, sound module, MQ-5 sensor, LCD, and LED-UV so that the trash can looks smart. This tool also uses an ATMega328p microcontroller as a data processor for each component used. The purpose of making this tool is to determine the working principle of the trash can with UV sterilization using solar power. The working principle is, when the ultrasonic sensor1 detects an object at a distance of 40 cm, the servo motor will automatically rotate the trash can lid until it finally opens. There is a voice module that integrates with the ultrasonic sensor1 and issues certain commands. Testing of the tool was carried out by involving the MQ-5 sensor and ultrasonic sensor2 to detect the concentration of waste gas or bad smells, as well as the level of organic waste in the trash can, then using LED-UV to help kill some of the waste microorganisms so that the stench that had been detected earlier would be reduced. through the LED's ultraviolet light. Based on the test results after the use of LED-UV, the concentration of waste gas decreases, where the initial concentration of waste is 14.5% while the final concentration is 1.7%.
