Jadwal Perawatan Mesin Produksi Menggunakan Metode Reliability Engineering pada PT. XYZ
Abstract
PT. Industi Karet Nusantara is a crumb rubber processing factory located on Jl. Medan-Tebing Tinggi Km.12, Amplas, Percut Sei Tuan District, Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra Province. The production department is supported by a number of machines and equipment that interact with each other to achieve optimal productivity. System maintenance at PT. The Nusantara Rubber Industry is corrective maintenance, which is to repair or replace engine components after damage to the engine occurs. This corrective component replacement on the machine causes the machine to stop operating while the production process is in progress. This results in the loss of production process time due to having to replace the damaged machine components. Loss of production time can have an impact on production targets that are not achieved and cause high production loss costs. Therefore it is necessary to carry out preventive maintenance, namely scheduling engine component changes and increasing maintenance efficiency. From the results of the Pareto diagram of engine damage using the 80/20 principle, there are three engine components, namely Thrush Ball Bearing with a damage frequency of 24, Discharge Nozzle with a damage frequency of 13, and Paring Disc with a damage frequency of 10. Based on data on engine damage production in 2021 at PT. The Nusantara Rubber Industry has three machines that have a high frequency of damage, namely the Mix Mill-I Machine with a damage frequency of 25, the Mix Mill-II Machine with a malfunction frequency of 21, and the New Land Mix Mill Machine with a damage frequency of 24. The method used is Reliability. Engineering. The distributions used in the test are normal, lognormal, exponential and weibull distributions. The proposed improvement of the maintenance system is to schedule the repair of the Mix Mill machine components through a preventive maintenance system, especially on the thrush ball bearing, discharge nozzle and paring disc components. Preventive maintenance is one of the maintenance systems that can predict the probability of damage based on the frequency of damage that occurs with the Reliability Engineering method. The results obtained from the calculation of the MTTF value (Mean Time to Failure) for the thrush ball bearing component are 55 days, the nozzle discharge is 79 days, and the paring disc is 116 days. This means that the engine components must be replaced when operating for 55 days to thrush ball bearing components with a reliability value of 36.83%, discharge nozzle for 79 days with a reliability value of 50.77%, paring disc for 116 days with a reliability value of 50.21%.
