Karakteristik Pasien Reaksi Kusta di RSUP. H. Adam Malik Medan Periode Tahun 2009 - 2012

Abstract

Background: leprosy is a chronic infection disease, caused by Mycobacterium leprae, involved skin and peripheral nerves, but also other organs or system, except central nerves. Objective: To determine the characteristics of leprosy reaction patients in Dermatovenereology clinics Haji Adam Malik Hospital Medan periode January 2009 to December 2012. Method: A retrospective study was performed based on the medical records of leprosy reaction patients from January 2009 to December 2012. Results: There were 42 cases of leprosy reactions; 31 male and 11 female. Most of the cases (16 cases) was found at the age of 25-34 years old group. The majorrty of the ethnic is Batak (21 cases). The majority of patient education is high school graduate (15 cases). Leprosy reaction most suffered by labour (10 cases)- The common type of leprosy is MB leprosy (33 cases), type of leprosy reaction is type 2 (26 cases) and onset of leprosy reaction is during the treatment of MDT (22 cases). Conclusion: ln Haji Adam Malik Medan Hospital, leprosy reaction more prevalent in male, age group 25-34 years, the ethnics are Batak, high school graduate, civil servant laour. Most leprosy reaction is MB leprosy, type 2 leprosy reaction and during the treatment.

Latar belakang: Penyakit kusta adalah penyakit infeksi kronik yang disebabkan oleh Mycobacterium leprae yang menyerang saraf tepi, kulit dan jaringan tubuh lainnya kecuali susunan saraf pusat. Tujuan: Mengetahui karakteristik pasien reaksi kusta di SMF Ilmu Kesehatan Kulit dan Kelamin RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan penode Januari 2009 sampai Desember 2012. Metode: Dilakukan penelitian retrospektif dan data rekam medis pasien reaksi kusta yang datang berobat ke SMF IK Kulit dan Kelamin RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan periode Januari 2009 sampai Desember 2012 Easil. Ditemukan 42 kasus reaksi kusta, 3l kasus lakiJaki dan I 1 kasus perempuan. Kasus terbanyak pada kelompok usia 25-34 tahun (16 kasus), suku terbanyak adalah suku Batak (21 kasus), tingkat pendidikan terbanyak pada tamatan SMA (15 kasus) dan jenis peke4aan terbanyak adalah buruh (10 kasus), Pasien reaksi kusta umumnya tipe kusta MB (33 kasus), reaksi kusta fipe 2 (26 kasus) dan waktu terjadinya reaksi kusta yaitu saat pengobatan MDT (22 kasus). Kesimpulan: Di RSUP H. Adam Malik Medan reaksr kusta umumnya dgumpai pada laki-laki, kelompok usia 25-34 tahun, suku Batak, tamatan SMA, pekeOaan burui, kusta tipe MB, reaksi kusta tipe 2 dan waktu terjadinya reaksi kusta yaitu saat pengobatan MDT.
