    Abstract
A 24 V wind power plant has been successfully designed in the coastal area of Batu Bara Regency. This power plant is located in a coastal area because it has great potential for fishermen for their lighting while at sea. When their boat sails, this tool uses the wind to charge the battery. The tools and materials used are generators that function to convert mechanical energy into electrical energy, charge controllers, batteries, lamps, and inverters. The way of this tool work is a wind turbine that rotates a dynamo generator to produce electrical energy and then is connected to a charge controller. This charge controller functions to control so that there is no excessive current (over-voltage) and control the use of the load so that the battery used does not run out due to running out of voltage. Inverters are used to convert DC to AC so that they can be used in household appliances. Testing of power generation tools in battery charging using a wind turbine gets an average value of 0.2 V per minute with a generator voltage of 5.08 V. While charging a battery using a drilling machine has an average value of 1.2 V per minute with a generator voltage of 24 V. In this test, the results of charging the battery using a wind turbine are not optimal because there is not enough wind to rotate the generator optimally. While charging the battery using a drilling machine is more optimal because the rotation of the generator can reach a maximum voltage of 24 V.
