Scheduling is a process to determine when activities are started,
postponed and completed so that the use of resources can be adjusted according
to predetermined needs. Labor scheduling is one of the factors that play an
important role in improving employee performance in every company. Job
scheduling affects job satisfaction, namely the extent to which individuals feel
positively or negatively various factors or dimensions of the tasks in their work.
The present study is a quantitative one aimed at analyzing the effect of
work scheduling on job satisfaction. The population in this study is the workforce
at the Regional General Hospital DR RM Djoelham, amounting to 420 employees
who are civil servants (PNS). The sampling method used a non-probability
sampling in order to obtain 100 research samples. Methods of data collection
using a questionnaire and data analysis using simple linear regression.
The results of the study shown that that work scheduling has a positive and
significant effect on job satisfaction. It is indicated by t-count X (12.721) > ttable (1.98) and p-value (0.000) <0.05. In general, the work schedule for DR RM
Djoelham Binjai Hospital is good, with 46 people (46.0%). In general, the job
satisfaction of employees at DR RM Djoelham Binjai Hospital is good, as many as
49 people (49.0%). It is recommended that the work scheduling steps of the DR
RM Djoelham Binjai Hospital be more systematic so that every employee can
easily implement the work schedule that has been set. Hospital leaders are
advised to pay more attention to aspects that affect employee job satisfaction so
that employee job satisfaction can be further improved in the future.
