dc.description.abstract | The situation when a person is not able to complete the primary needs in his life in the form of food, clothing, housing and property, education, and health is the definition of poverty. This study intends to analyze what factors affect the level of poverty in the city of Medan, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, directly or indirectly by applying the path analysis method. The exogenous variables are household consumption income, household consumption expenditure, and the rate of population growth. Meanwhile, the endogenous variables are the number of the poor and the total population. The source of data in this study is secondary data from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of North Sumatra Province which is then processed by path analysis method. Based on the results of the analysis conducted by the author, obtained two path equations, namely: From the results of the study, it is known that the Fcount value is 5.502 < from the Ftable value which is 5.19, then H0 is rejected. It also shows that there is a significant effect between household consumption income (X1), household consumption expenditure (X2), population growth rate (X3) and population (Y) on the number of poor people (Z). | en_US |
