    Analisis Dampak Erupsi Gunung Sinabung terhadap Debit Sungai Lau Biang di Lokasi PLTA Sei Wampu

    Abstract
    Mount Sinabung is the highest mount in North Sumatera, it is included in the type B mount, a mount which non-active for a long time. However, since 2010 it has been included in type A because of it is activity. It is eruption can damage DAS (river watershed) caused by it is red-hot lava, hot cloud, and cloud lava flood erupted by the Mount Sinabung. PLTA (hydroelectric power plant) is one of the electric energy which uses water as it is power. Water power system changes energy from water flow to become mechanical energy and then becomes electric energy. PLTA Sei Wampu is located at Rih Tengah Village, Kuta Buluh Subdistrict, Karo Distric, in North Sumatera. It is planned to produced electric power of 3x15 MW which uses the stream of the Lau Biang River. The objective of the study was to analyze the effect of Mount Sinabung eruption on the charge in the flow velocity of the Lau Biang River as the main source of PLTA Sei Wampu and to analyze the amount of erosion along the DAS of the Lau Biang River. Direct measurement in the upstream and downstream of the river in the rainy and dry seasons with FJ. Mock method was used to get the data of the flow velocity of the Lau Biang River. USLE (Universal Soil Loss Equation) parameter which consisted of some factors was also used to analyze the erosion. The result of the analysis of the flow velocity in the field showed that there was the change in the charge in the flow velocity of the Lau Biang River of 13.54 %. The result of the test, using FJ. Mock method showed that there was the change in the main flow velocity of 21.94 %, for the erosion it is increased 8.26 tons/ha/year or 4.054 % which was included in low erosion category. It is recommended that forest conservation such reforestation and installing water level recording gauge in the location of PLTA should be performed and storage of water reservoir should be made.
     
    Gwrung Sinabung adalah gtmung tertinggi yang ada di Sumatera Utara, termasuk ke dalam gunung tipe B, yaitu gunung yang teiah lama tidak aktif, Narnun di tahun 201C dan sejak itu dinyatakan gunung tipe A karena aktif kembali. Akibat dari erupsi Gumrng Sinabung ini dapat merusak Daerah Aliran Sungai @AS) akibat dari lava pijar, awan panas dan banjir lahar dingin yang dimuntahkan oleh Gurrung Sinabuag. Pembaagkit Listik Tenaga Air (PLTA) adalah salah satu sr.mber energi listrik yang memanfaatkan air sebagai sumber listrik. Sistem tenaga air mengubah energi dari air yang mengalir menjadi energi mekanik dan kemudian menjadi energi listrik. PLTA Sei Wampu terletalc di desa Rih Tengah, Kecamatan Krrta Buluh, Kabupaten Karo, Sumatera Utam. PLTA ini direncanakan menghasilkan tenaga listrik sebesar 3x15 MW, yang memanfaatlan aliran sungai Lau Biang. Studi ini menganalisis dampak erupsi Gunung Sinabung terhadap perubahan debit sungai Lau Biang sebagai sumber utama rlntuk PLTA Sei Wampu dan menganalisis besaran erosi yang terjadi di DAS Lau Biang. Untuk mendapatkan data debit sungai Lau Biang dilakukan dengan cara pengukuran langsung dilapangan di hulu dan hilir sungai Lau Biang pada kondisi musim hujan dan musim kemarau dan secam teoritis menggunakan metode FJ. Mock. Untuk analisis erosi menggunakan pararneter USLE ([Iniversal Soil Loss Equation) yang merupakan kombinasi beberapa faktor. Hasil penelitian menuqiukkan bahwa dari hasil analisis debit dari pengukuran di lapangan terjadi perubahan debit sungai Lau Biang sebesar -13,54yo. Dengan metode FJ. Mock diperoleh perubahan debit andalan s,besar -27,94Yo. Untuk erosi terjadi peningkatan sebesar 8,26 ton/haltahun atau sebesar 4,054% yang termasuk dalam kategori kelas erosi sangat rendah. Untuk itu periu dilakukan konservasi hutan seperfi reboisasi afau penghijauan kembali hutan, pemasangan alat pencatat debit di lokasi PLTA dan dilakukan kajian untuk membuat storage alau penampungan air.
