    Abstract
Enhancement soybean production can be done by utilizing suboptimal land, including saline land due to the limited agricultural land. However salinity becomes the limiting factor soybean growth, which inhibits growth impacting yield decline and the worst conditions can caused crop failure. This research aimed to assess the effect of ascorbic acid and gibberellins in overcome the adverse effects of salinity on two soybean genotypes (Glycine max (L.) Merrill). This research uses the Split-Split Plot Design which consists of three factors with three replications, as the main plot i.e. gibberellin concentration consisting of: G0 (without gibberellins) and G1 (100 ppm), as the subplot i.e. genotypes consisting of: V1 (Non-Selection) and V2 (Selection) and as the sub-sub plot i.e. ascorbic acid concentration consisting of: A0 (without ascorbic acid), A1 (200 ppm), A2 (400 ppm) and A3 (600 ppm). The results showed that the ascorbic acid concentration significantly increase the weight of 100 grain, plant height ages 2, 6 and 8 week after planting (WAP) and the number of productive branches where the best results are obtained up to a concentration of 200 ppm and a decrease in the concentration of 400 and 600 ppm. Soybean genotypes Non Selection significantly had a higher number of productive branches as compared with soybean genotypes Selection but generates the highest number of empty pods. Giving of gibberellin 100 ppm do not increased production but significantly increase plant height ages 6 and 8 WAP and the number of productive branches. Interaction between the concentration of gibberellin and ascorbic acid do not increased production but significantly increase the content of chlorophyll b and accelerate harvest age, the best combination is found on the giving of gibberellin 100 ppm and ascorbic acid 600 ppm. While the interaction between the concentration of gibberellins, genotypes and ascorbic acid not significant effect on all components of growth and yield.
