dc.description.abstract | Coffee with MOL (local microorganisms) In Pellet Feed Rations Rex Rabbit
Peranakan Wean Off. Under supervised by ISKANDAR SEMBIRING and
HAMDAN.
This research was conducted at the Laboratory of Animal Biology Faculty
of Agriculture, University of North Sumatra in June 2014 - August 2014. This study
aims to determine the effect of dry matter and organic matter use of utilization of
the coffee fruit flesh skin fermentation MOL. This study used 20 male rabbits rex
hybrid weaning with average initial weight 913.05 g ± 60.49 g using a completely
randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments with 5 replications. The treatments
used in this study is P0 (pellets with basal feed + leather coffee fruit flesh without
fermentation 30%), P1 (basal + pellets to feed the skin flesh without fermentation
20% coffee and coffee fruit flesh skin fermentation 10%), P2 (pellets with basal
feed + leather coffee fruit flesh without fermentation 10% and leather coffee pulp
fermentation 20%), P3 (pellets with basal feed + leather coffee pulp fermentation
30%). Parameters observed that feed consumption (Dry Materials and Organic
Materials), dry matter digestibility (KcBK), Organic Matter Digestibility (KcBO).
The results showed that the average dry matter (%) P0, P1, P2, and P3 is
59.70; 59.75; 59.74; and 59.89, while the average organic matter digestibility (%)
61.28; 61.40; 61.31; and 61.50. Dry matter and organic matter P3 is better than
other treatments ≥(0P,05). The c onclusion from this study showed that
administration of fermented coffee fruit flesh skin MOL as rations in the form of
pellets for rabbits rex male crossbreed weaning until level 30% can improve the
digestibility of coffee fruit flesh and skin can be used as an alternative feed. | en_US |
