Pendugaan Bobot Badan Sapi Brahman Cross, Sapi Aceh dan Sapi Bali Berdasarkan Panjang Badan dan Lingkar Dada

Abstract

M HARYONO SAMOSIR, 2015: “PREDICTION BODY WEIGHT OF BRAHMAN CROSS BEEF CATTLE, BODY WEIGHT OF ACEH BEEF CATTLE, BODY WEIGHT OF BALI BEEF CATTLE BASED ON BODY LENGTH AND CHEST SIZE ”. Under supervised by HAMDAN dan ARMYN DAULAY. This study aimed to examine for more accurate formula to estimate body weight based on body size (body length and chest size) on Brahman cross beef cattle, Aceh beef cattle Aceh and Bali beef cattle. The experiment was conducted at three different regions based on each nation is Brahman cross cattle in PT Lembu Andalas Langkat (LAL), Aceh beef cattle in BPTU Indrapuri Aceh and Bali beef cattle in the area of PTPN IV Siantar in June to November 2014. The formula used in this study is the estimation formula weight Schrool, Smith and Winter, as well as using correlation and multiple regression analysis to test the research data. The results showed that the test results obtained by regression analysis, correlation and determination showed Brahman Cross beef cattle, Aceh beef cattle and Bali beef cattle showed a significant relationship between body length, chest size with body weight. Estimation of body weight in Brahman cross beef cattle the closest is to use the formula Schrool the percentage deviation of 0.15%, the closest Aceh beef cattle by using the formula Winter with the percentage deviation of 0.03% and the Bali beef cattle that comes closest is to use the regression equation percentage deviation of 0%.
