dc.description.abstractOne of the problems encountered in the field of rubber stump nursery is the high percentage of deaths caused of inhibit root and shoot growth. Therefore to accelerate the growth of roots and shoots can be done by applying growth regulators, asam asetik naftalen 3,0%. The purpose of this study is to determine the growth response of rubber stump (Hevea brasiliensis Muell Arg.) against asetik naftalen acid 3,0% by basting to the cutting wound of taproot on a variety of growing media composition. The research was conducted in September 2015 until January 2016 at experimental farm of the Faculty of Agriculture, Sumatera Utara University, Medan. The research design used completely randomized design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the concentration of asam asetik naftalen 3,0% ( 0 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg) and the second factor is the growing media comparison of top soil and sand (1: 0, 1: 1, 1: 2, 1: 3). Parameters measured were the percentage germinate, the melentis speed, the shoot length, the diameter of shoots, the number of leaves, the fresh weight of root, the root dry weight, the fresh weight of shoot, and the shoot dry weight. The results showed that the applying of asam asetik naftalen 3,0 % 0 mg, 25 mg, 50 mg, 75 mg, and the planting medium top soil, sand (1: 0), top soil, sand (1: 1), top soil, sand (1: 2), topsoil, sand (1: 3) and their interaction had no significant growth in the rubber stump.en_US
