dc.description.abstract | This study aims to analyze the business use of water hyacinth fermentation
of local weaning male sheep 3 months. The experiment was conducted at the
Laboratory of Animal Biology Animal Husbandry Program Faculty of
Agriculture, University of North Sumatra in August to November 2013 using 20
local male lambs with an average initial body weight 7.87 ± 2.18 kg. The design
used in the study was a completely randomized design ( CRD ) with 5 treatments
and 4 replications and further significantly different. Treatment consists of P0 :
concentrate + 100 % grass, P1 : concentrate + 40 % grass + 60 % grass
hyacinth fermentation MOL, P2 : concentrate + 40 % grass + 60 % grass
hyacinth fermentation of Trichoderma harzianum, P3 : concentrate + 100 %
water hyacinth MOL fermentation, P4 : concentrate + 100 % water hyacinth
fermentation of Trichoderma harzianum. The method was used a survey method.
The parameters studied were the total production cost, total production, analysis
of profit/loss, the benefit cost ratio (B/C ratio)and income over feed cost (IOFC).
The results showed the average total cost of production (Rp)
P0: 546.743,65 ; P1: 536.668,25 ; P2: 564.752,25 ; P3: 555.105,14 and
P4: 524.799,68 respectively. Mean total production (Rp) P0: 441.400,
P1: 440.400, P2: 462.800, P3: 460.300 and P4: 435.000 respectively. Mean
analysis of profits/losses (Rp) P0: -105.343,65 ; P1: -96.268,25 ; P2: -101.952,25
; P3: -94.805,14 and P4: -89.799,68 respectively. Mean IOFC (Rp)P0: 31.806,3 ;
P1: 40.881,7 ; P2: 35.197,8 ; P3: 42.344,9 and P4: 48.650,3 respectively. The
average B/C ratio P0: 0,807 ; P1: 0,821 ; P2: 0,817; P3: 0,829 and P4: 0,829
respectively. The analysis showed no beneficial use. The conclusion of this study
is the utilization of water hyacinth fermentation does not benefit the
weaning local male sheep. | en_US |
