Aktivitas Mikroorganisme Tanah pada Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja, Kecamatan Silau Kahean, Kabupaten Simalungun

Abstract

Nutrient content and activity of soil microorganisms in Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja was the biological characteristic of the soil related to soil of prosperity grade. This study was conducted to quantify the activity of soil microorganisms in the Kawah Putih Tinggi Raja Simalungun. Measurement of total soil microorganisms is done by using the method to the cup, while the measurement of the activity of soil microorganisms used jar method and measured by the titrimetri method. The results showed that the analysis of chemical characteristic of the soil has a pH range of neutral to slightly alkaline, low cation exchange capacity and low sulfur content. The highest activity of soil microorganisms in plot 1 of soil samples was 1.86 kg / day, while the lowest activity of soil microorganisms in plot 5 of soil samples was 1.41 kg / day.
