Penentuan Kualitas Air di Perairan Danau Kelapa Gading Kota Kisaran Kabupaten Asahan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

Kelapa gading Lake is an artifical lake in Kisaran naga District, Asahan Regency. The Development of the times, the lake not only used for Rain Shelter but also tourism and Mariculture Cage. The purpose of this research was to know about the status of the water quality of Kelapa Gading Lake. The conducted method in this research was Purposive random sampling. Research data by selecting five stations based on environment color. Analysis of the data used storet method and pollution index.The sampling of water using kind van don water sampler which in modification. Parameters measured were physics (Temperature, TSS, Brigthness and Conduction), Chemistry ( DO, ph, BOD, COD, Nitrate and Phosphate) and Biology (coliform total).the results of this research is the status of quality with the storet method based on basic quality class 2 and class 3 with value -30 & -7. The status of water quality with the pollution index method based on basic quality 2 and 3 with the value 2.75 and1.53. The status of water quality of Lake kelapa gading based on storet method, basic quality 2 is a medium contaminated and basic quality 3 is a low contaminated. The status of water quality of kelapa gading lake based on pollution index, basic quality 2 is a medium-contaminated and basic quality 3 is lowcontaminated.
