dc.description.abstract | Workload is a process done by a person in accomplishing the tasks and obligation in a job or
position group in a normal situation in a special term. The research is done in a company
operating in loading and unioading container service where there is the imbalance in the ratio
of overtime caused by the allocation of employees in each division which is not based on
work load. In this research workload analysis is done in the staffs with relatively high
ratio of overtime in the technique division of 254.6 hours/person and in the development
division of 260.3 hours/person. The objective of the research is to analyze employees' working
time by using work sampling technique and balancing workload by analyzing the need for
employees in both divisions, using full time equivalent. The result of the research shows
that the effective work days in a year are 234 days and the effective working time is 1 310 hours
for five work days per week. From the work sampling, it is found that in the technique
division, the number of productive activity observations is 76.24%, non-productive activity was
5.68%, and personal activity is 18.08% with the allowance of 30%. in the development
division, the number of productivity activity observations is 76.63%, non-productive
activity is 5.17%, and personal activity is 18.20% with the allowance of 30%.
Based on the measurement of workload in the technique division with fall time equivalent
method it is found that there are employees with under load, unload, and overload
workload while in the development division there are employees with only overload workload. | en_US |
