| dc.description.abstract | The research aimed to determinemangrove ecological conditions, to
determine abundance mangrove crabs, to determine the growth of mangrove crab.
The research took place in May −June 2016. The method used in the
determination of the location is purposive sampling and divided into 3 stations
based on different activities.Analysis of mangrove vegetation derivedmangrove
density, relative density, mangrove frequency, relative frequency, dominance,
relative dominance, importance value index, diversity index, and evenness index.
The structure of the mangrove crab population assessed the abundance of
mangrove crab, carapace width relation with body weight, growth pattern, and
factor condition.The quality habitat mangrove crab viewed the water quality, the
substrate texture, C-organic, tides. The results showed that the mangrove forest is
very tight criteriawhere mangrove density≥ 1500 ind/ha, the relative dominance ≥
75%, the abundance of mangrove crab 16300 – 17000 ind/ha, growth pattern was
negative allometric(b < 3), factor condition ranges between 0 − 1 classified into
flat. The water quality and substrate were assessed included in supporting life
mangrove crab, the substrate texture was sandy loam and sandy clay loam,
C-organic classified< 1% was very low, the type of tides was mixed semidiurnal
