Solar panels using optical aids such as mirrors and lenses as a tool to
focusing sunlight on solar panels and have more advantages over solar panels
without using optical aids because the number of solar cells required is less for the
same power production. Along with the duration and the amount of solar radiation,
temperature also can affect the solar panel’s efficiency. Because high temperatures
will significantly reduce the output power production. This research gives the
solution to design an increase in solar cell output power by using mirrors, cooling,
and a double-axis solar tracking control system. Experiments will be carried out by
comparing several research methods. The result shows that using a mirror, cooling,
and double-axis solar tracking produces optimal output power that can be
generated by solar panels in each method: With Method A produces 23 Watt of
power, Method B produces 28,6 Watt, Method C produces 35,8 Watt, Method D
produces 38,1 Watt, and Method E produces the highest power production of 41.1
Watt.
