dc.description.abstract | Indonesia is a nation that heavily relies on the agricultural sector to support its economy. Food
crops, one of the agriculture sector's subsectors, play a significant role in people's lives.
Therefore, the access and availability of food are very crucial, especially rice. About 90% of
Indonesia's population relies on rice as a staple diet, making it one of the main crops. One of
the regencies in North Sumatera prioritizes the rice food crop sub-sector as one of the
foundations of local economy in North Sumatera. There are numerous models that aim to
increase agricultural production productivity. One of them refers to the agricultural local
wisdom. In Juhar Ginting Village, which is a crucial region in our study, Pande Parik is one of
the indigenous agricultural local wisdom models that still exist until recently. This
qualitative descriptive study is carried out to investigate how Pande Parik contributes
to the food estate in Juhar Ginting Village. The study finds that Pande Parik has a positive
contribution to the food resiliencein Juhar Sub-district. In reality, the knowledge of Pande Parik
results in a variety of policies and actions, which are always welcomed enthusiastically by the
majority of farmers in Juhar Ginting Village. | en_US |
