Hubungan Kondisi Ekosistem Mangrove Dengan Struktur Komunitas Udang Di Perairan Muara Sungai Asahan Kecamatan Tanjungbalai Kabupaten Asahan Provinsi Sumatera Utara

Abstract

The condition of mangrove in Asahan regency is currently under pressure due to its utilization and management which less concern about sustainability aspects. Decrease of mangrove area that occur will have a direct impact for fishery resources especially shrimp. The purpose of this research is to know about the condition of mangrove and water quality, community structure of shrimp and relation of mangrove condition and community structure of shrimp in Bagan Asahan Village, Tanjungbalai District, Asahan Regency, North Sumatera Province. This research was conducted for 3 months from March – May 2017. The method of this research used purposive sampling and determined 3 stations sampling that was near tourist and settlement area, estuary and toward sea. The results of this study indicate that mangrove condition in Bagan Asahan village was rarely (damaged) with value of diversity index classified in medium diversity. The waters condition in Bagan Asahan District at each stasion could support biota life based on standard by Kepmen LH No. 51 Tahun 2004. The value of index diversity (H') of shrimp ranged from 1.026 to 1.443, the uniformity index value (E) 0.740 - 0.964 and the dominance index value (D) ranges from 0.269 to 0.402. The relationship of mangrove density with shrimp abundance, diversity index, and dominance index showed strong relationship while mangrove density relationship with shrimp uniformity index showed weak relationship
