Studi Morfometrik dan Meristik Ikan Lemeduk (Barbodes schwanenfeldii) di Sungai Belumai Kabupaten Deli Serdang

Abstract

Belumai river is one of river in Regency of Deli Serdang, Province of North Sumatra. One of fish resource potency in Belumai river is Lemeduk fish (Barbodes schwanenfeldii). The objective of this research is to study the morphometric characteristic and meristic range of Lemeduk fish and to observe the morphometric diversity of Lemeduk fish in Belumai river. The calculation of morphometric character using Principal Component Analysis. The results of Principal Component Analysis indicates that the more of information are found on the both of first main component with cumulative 84.3%. All of morphometric character has a role on first principal component and second principal component. The character with a role to the second main component as character that influence the morphometric diversity is the Length of base of the dorsal fin and eye diameter. The principal component analysis indicates that lemeduk fish on four stations did not indicates classification (shape diversity). This indicates that the observed fish is one of population unit. On the calculation of phenotype range value of each character of lemeduk fish indicates that morphometric character with the higher range value is total length (PT) and the lower is eye diameter (DM), while on meristic character calculation found the radius of fin is DIII.9, AIII.6, VI.8, PL,.13-14.
