dc.description.abstractCommunity-based total sanitation (STBM) is the approach used to change hygiene and sanitation behavior through community empowerment by triggering methods. The implementation of the STBM program stars from the first pillar which is the stop of defecation (BABS) which is the entrance of total sanitation. The utilization of healthy latrines has not reached 100% although in the villages puskesmas have initiated pemicuan against the community for the first pillar STBM stop BABS program. The purpose of this research is to know the community participation in STBM first pillar stop BABS program in Batuhula village and Telo village Batangtoru District, South Tapanuli Regency. This research is descriptive survey. Metode primary data collection was conducted by interview using questionnaire and observation of latrine, Batuhula village as many as 37 sample and Telo village as many as 35 sample by simple random sampling. The results showed that community participation in the first pillar STBM program stop BABS is Batuhula village participated 64,9% and Telo village participated 71,4%. The observation of the use of latrines is in the village Batuhula 16,2% has no latrines in the house and village Telo 14,3% has no latrines in the house. Based on these results, it is expected that the community will participate and be involved in STBM programs so that there will be a change an continuity of clean and healthy behavior in the community and soon to have latrines in the house.en_US
dc.description.abstractSanitasi total berbasis masyarakat (STBM) adalah pendekatan yang digunakan untuk merubah perilaku hygiene dan sanitasi melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat dengan metode pemicuan. Pelaksanaan program STBM dimulai dari pilar pertama yaitu Stop Buang Air Besar Sembarangan (BABS) yang merupakan pintu masuk sanitasi total. Pemanfaatan jamban sehat belum mencapai 100% walaupun puskesmas telah melakukan pemicuan terhadap masyarakat untuk program STBM pilar pertama Stop BABS. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui partisipasi masyarakat dalam Program STBM Pilar Pertama STOP BABS di Desa Batuhula dan Desa Telo Kecamatan Batangtoru Kabupaten Tapanuli Selatan. Penelitian ini bersifat survey deskriptif. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara menggunakan kuesioner dan melakukan observasi jamban, di desa Batuhula sebanyak 37 sampel dan di desa Telo sebanyak 35 sampel secara simple random sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa partisipasi masyarakat dalam program STBM pilar pertama Stop BABS ialah desa Batuhula yang berpartisipasi 64,9%, dan desa Telo yang berpartisipasi 71,4%. Hasil observasi penggunaan jamban ialah pada desa Batuhula 16,2% tidak memiliki jamban di dalam rumah dan desa Telo 14,3% tidak memiliki jamban di dalam rumah. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, diharapkan masyarakat berpartisispasi dan terlibat dalam kegiatan dan program STBM sehingga dapat terjadi perubahan dan kesinambungan perilaku yang bersih dan sehat di lingkungan masyarakat dan segera memiliki jamban di dalam rumah.en_US
