Abstract
This study entitled Corporate Social Responsibility and Corporate Image
(Correlational Study About Effect of Implementation of Corporate Social
Responsibility (CSR) to Image of PT. Tirta Sibayakindo in Eyes of Doulu Dalam
Village and Doulu Pasar Village Community, Berastagi District)
The theory used in this research is the Communication Theory, Public
Relations Theory, External Public Theory, Corporate Social Responsibility
Theory and the Corporate Image Theory. The method used in this study is
correlational aims to find a relationship between variables with other variables.
The data analysis technique used is the analysis of a single table, cross table
analysis, and hypothesis through Rank-Order coefficient level formula by
Spearman throungh using SPSS version 13.0 and is supported by using a Guilford
scale. Sampling techniques in this study is simple random sampling namely select
a sample that is by providing equal opportunities to all members of the population
to be designated as members of the sample. The sample selection is done with the
help of a table of random sampling.
The population in this study was the community of Doulu Dalam Village and
Doulu Pasar Village who gain access to water supply as much as 382 families,
comprising 255 families residing in the Doulu Dalam Village and 127 families
residing in the Doulu Pasar Village. Sampling techniques in this study using Taro
Yamane formula with 10% precision and 90% confidence level for a total sample
of this study amounted to 80 people, with 54 people in the Doulu Dalam Village
and 26 people in the Doulu Pasar Village. Data collection techniques used in this
study in two ways, namely Library Studies and Field Studies.
Based on the results of the study proved that "There is a significant
relationship between the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility for
image of PT. Tirta Sibayakindo in Eyes of Doulu Dalam Village and Doulu Pasar
Village Community, Berastagi District" with the number of correlation is 0.413.
To determine the significance level the results of hypothesis, the findings made in
calculating the value table. Value table findings in this study is 0,000. Based on
these values is known that the relationship between the two variables is
significant.
