Kualitas Hidup pada Pasien Alopesia Androgenik Pria

Abstract

Background: Androgenic alopecia is a progressive hair loss following a certain pattern of baldness. Adrogenic alopecia is the most commonly hair growth disorder which occurs in men. To a man, hair loss can result in psychological distress affecting his quality of life. Ovjective: To find out the description of quality of life in the patient with male androgenic alopecia Method: This descriptive study with cross-sectional easign involved 30 patients with male ardmgenic alopecia Every patieut underwent a dermatologic examination and answered the Skindex-29 questionnaires. The answers to the questionnaires were assessd- The higher the score is, the lower his quality of life is. Result: Lower quality of life was found in the older patient with male androgenic alopecia (respectively 50% with the score of Skindex-29 of 41 - 45 and 46 - 50), severe degree of severity (40% with the score of Skindot-Z9 of 46 - 50), and longer duration of disease (respectively 37.5% with the score of Skidor-29 of 46 - 50 and > 50). Conclusion: Male androgenic alopecia affected the quality of life of patient based on age degree of severity, and duration of disease.
