dc.description.abstract | This study aims to determine the effect of the work environment and occupational
health and safety on the performance of primary workers in the Cooperative
(PRIMKOP) for the loading and unloading workforce (TKBM) for the fourth
sector of Belawan. This research is an associative research and the type of data
used is quantitative data. The research data were obtained from interviews,
questionnaires and documentation studies. The data analysis method used is
descriptive statistical analysis and the technique used for data processing is
multiple linear regression. The population in this study were all stevedoring
workers (from the ship to the pier) PRIMKOP TKBM Efforts Sector IV Belawan,
which amounted to 564 workers and the sample of this study was 85 people with
simple random sampling method. The results of this study indicate that the work
environment and safety, occupational health, simultaneously have a significant
effect on the performance of PRIMKOP TKBM workers. Partially, the work
environment has a positive and significant effect on worker performance,
occupational safety and health, and has a positive and significant effect on the
performance of TKBM PRIMKOP workers. The most dominant variables
